Mobile Application Development
Imperial mobile apps custom tailored to individuals or small businesses
Why have an app?
Does your business have a strong need to stay connected to your customers even when they are on the go? Would it be prohibitively expensive to overhaul your currently established legacy website to be more mobile-responsive? An offline, personal mobile application for Android- or iOS-powered devices is the perfect solution for any of these situations.
What you get from Imperial
Our mobile apps are designed by software engineers with several years of professional software development. Coding practices are held to the highest standards with zero tolerance for bugs. If, through normal use of your custom mobile app, you come across any bugs we will work immediately to resolve the issue without waiting for a new release. You get to have peace of mind knowing that we fully stand behind our products and will always have technical support ready if you need us.
Why only Android and iOS?
The mobile OS market is not very competitive outside of the top two who hold over 96% of the total. There is a fairly good chance that your users are only going to be using your app on one of these two devices. Of the two, however, Android is by far more popular with 67% of users powering their mobile devices with the OS.
App Store of Your Choice
When you have an app developed you can release it on your respective app store for you users. You’ll even get your own custom badge (web-style button that contains a link to your app listing) from your store(s) to display on your website(s) or anywhere your business does marketing! There is a non-refundable hosting fee charged by both these app stores for use of their marketplace and servers. Also if you plan on charging a fee for the use of your app, be advised that the store will take a small percentage of the profit for selling fees.
If you choose not have your app hosted on one of the two providers below, you may host it on your own website. While this is possible, it is not recommended because some users may not know how to install 3rd party software on their devices that wasn’t downloaded from their respective app store.
App Design Options
Your own branded mobile app created how you need it.
The Android operating system currently holds the majority market share in mobile device operation. This is due largely in part to the fact that it ships pre-installed on so many different manufacturers phones, tablets, etc. If you want your app to reach the most number of users for the dollar, then an Android-based mobile app would be your best bet.

Apple’s iOS is the sole operating system of all Apple mobile devices and soon to replace OS X in their PC market. This is Apple’s way of integrating all of their devices together under one virtual roof. This means that your app will be available on a wide variety of end-user devices. Most Apple customers are loyal to their brand and will support companies that target them. iOS may not make up most of the market but there are still a large number of users that your business may want to target.
